The idea is good, the implementation should however support the principle that users can get most of the information relevant to status or progress directly from the tool without needing to scan through attached documents. The abstract from attached files could be made available by means of AI when asked.

This is a great idea. It would consolidate a lot of the email traffic that we have to relate strategy across different mediums.
Lots of times people create really detailed Excel docs or put together powerpoint slides or something that is related to a goal they have in Cascade. In those cases, they loved in CG being able to attach files when they left their updates to consolidate everything in one thread instead of having to send it in a separate email.

Allow attaching documents to a goal via the sidebar
Right now this is not possible in updates or generally, and it would be useful to be able to do both. At least directly in the sidebar if nothing else
