Custom Chart Improvement (Baseline Starting Month to "Zero" for New Year)

(Impacting measures that are connected to a metric and using the YTD setting)

The custom charts currently calculating "Change from Previous Period" by pulling data from the underlying Metric’s history, even if that history predates the start date of the Measure itself. Example: Metric contains data for 2025 and 2026 but has YTD January. Measure starts Jan 2026 but chart shows Jan value as difference from Dec 2025-Jan 2026

Problem: The user’s intent in creating a measure that starts in 2026 is to establish a new baseline. The workaround is for the customer to import metrics for every year, or skip the integration altogether which defeats the purpose.

Suggestion: The chart should respect the measure start date as a hard boundary.
